The Broad is a contemporary art museum in Los Angeles that houses the world’s largest private collection of post-war and contemporary art. The museum is one of the most visited museums in California, with an average annual attendance of over 600,000 visitors. Your Guide to The Broad in Los Angeles

The The Broad museum was established by philanthropists Eli and Edythe L. Broad as a contemporary art institution with two venues: The Contemporary on Grand Avenue in downtown LA and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA Pacific Design Center West in DTLA (District of the Arts). The new building features more than 150,000 square feet for modern and contemporary exhibitions including rotating selections from The Broad Collection of some 1700 works along with other temporary exhibits; this includes pieces from artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns to name just a few of them.

The The Broad Museum is the first new museum to open in Los Angeles in more than twenty years. The Contemporary on Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA Pacific Design Center West are both located within walking distance from each other, just a few short blocks away.
